Muy pronto se interesó por la pintura y el arte en general, y empezó a crear sus propios retratos y paisajes, el comienzo de una pasión que nunca le abandonaría.
Su familia no le permitió ir a la escuela de arte, pero él continuó pintando, orientando muy pronto su estilo hacia la abstracción y el color. Este estilo le puso en contacto con otros artistas como Philippe Tykoczinski y Guy Péqueux, que le dieron consejos profesionales.
Su influencia llevó la obra de Patrick a otro nivel, pero fue a través de la autoformación como refinó su arte, renovándose constantemente, evolucionando tanto el tipo de soporte como la técnica, desarrollando su universo, cada vez más rico y variado, vibrante y onírico.
