La Vieille Ecole se remonta a principios del siglo XII como parte de los cimientos originales de Rocamadour. Situada en lo alto de los acantilados del pueblo medieval, en la antigua Rue de La Mercerie, albergaba a los mercaderes que vendían sus mercancías a los peregrinos que visitaban el santuario de Rocamadour. En el siglo pasado, fue una antigua escuela antes de volver a ser propiedad privada.
La casa se encuentra a menos de 200 metros del santuario y de la calle principal que atraviesa el pueblo medieval de Rocamadour. Desde aquí podrá visitar muchas de las pintorescas ciudades históricas, mercados y lugares de interés de la región, como Autoire, Carennac, La Roque Gageac, Saint Cirq Lapopie, Pech Merle y Sarlat.
