Este horno de cal fue construido en 1880 por Léon Boisseau, alcalde del municipio de Jazeneuil. El lugar fue comprado por François Mazin en 1921 y sigue siendo propiedad de la familia en la actualidad. El último calentamiento tuvo lugar en 1952. Cubierto de maleza durante 50 años, ha estado en constante restauración desde principios de la década de 2000.
El horno de cal se apoya en un acantilado por dos lados. La parte frontal visible está hecha de escombros de piedra caliza. El interior es de ladrillos refractarios. Junto a ella, en una antigua cantera de piedra caliza, el visitante descubrirá una cueva natural.
Los paneles explicativos cuentan la historia del horno y el proceso de fabricación de cal para uso agrícola.
