Fue reconstruida sobre los cimientos del antiguo edificio, que probablemente era la capilla del antiguo castillo (1398), del que aún se conserva el antiguo túmulo feudal, rodeado por su foso.
La iglesia sigue rodeada de su cementerio y de algunas tumbas antiguas.
Durante su visita, se dará cuenta de lo cerca que está del nuevo castillo de estilo Tudor del siglo XIX, cuyos propietarios se encargaron de reconstruir en su momento el armazón del edificio, así como su decoración interior.
Obras notables y características especiales de la iglesia:
La iglesia cuenta con una armoniosa colección de pinturas murales, vidrieras y estatuas del siglo XIX "en su estado original". También hay estatuas del siglo XVI y vidrieras de bella factura. La única pieza catalogada es un facistol de 1528 con el escudo y la estatua del donante, el padre Huyard.
