El vidrio, en su transparencia u opacidad, capta la luz. Cada cuenta se fabrica con varillas de vidrio calentadas a 1000° con un soplete (gas-oxígeno).
Transformar el vidrio en perlas es una cuestión de técnica y creatividad. Cada hilandero tiene su propia sensibilidad para la armonía de los colores.
