Hoy en día, es la única parte que queda de la fortaleza que fue desmantelada bajo Luis XIII en un intento de suprimir un bastión protestante.
Su jardín de inspiración medieval presenta plantas medicinales y de otro tipo en cuadrados de castaño entretejidos, con pérgolas y arcos de madera que sirven de telón de fondo al jardín amurallado, que también cuenta con árboles frutales.
Cerrada en invierno, la Torre abre los fines de semana y días festivos desde Pascua hasta Todos los Santos, y en verano de miércoles a domingo.
