Propiedad de Louis Amour, hermano del alcalde de Donchery, este castillo del siglo XIX fue el lugar donde, el 2 de septiembre de 1870, el Emperador debía esperar al Rey Guillermo, pero Bismarck, temiendo una especie de autocompasión por su parte, exigió que se firmara la capitulación antes de su llegada. Se firmó a las 11 en presencia del General de Wimpffen. El rey de Prusia no acudió a Bellevue hasta cerca de las dos de la tarde y mantuvo una entrevista de un cuarto de hora con Napoleón durante la cual el emperador le dijo que nunca había querido esta guerra y que Guillermo I reveló más tarde que estaban "los dos muy emocionados".
