Se ha creado un sendero peatonal alrededor de la cuenca de la Prefectura en el muelle del Comte-Henri. El sendero permite recorrer a pie o en bicicleta la cuenca de la prefectura.
Todo ello en el marco de la reapertura del Canal de Haute-Seine, una vía navegable artificial francesa que atraviesa los departamentos de Aube y Marne entre la confluencia de los ríos Aube y Sena, en Romilly-sur-Seine, y Troyes.
El canal, proyectado en el siglo XVIII, fue construido durante el Imperio y se inauguró en 1846. Desde 1968 está totalmente cerrado a la navegación . El canal atraviesa la ciudad de Troyes hasta Marcilly-sur-Seine; el tramo conocido como el "canal sin agua" , situado entre Bar-sur-Seine y Troyes, nunca se ha abierto.
Para que el canal resulte más atractivo para los turistas, el Consejo General del Aube ha realizado mejoras desde el año 2000. Se ha decidido mantener abierta la posibilidad de reabrir el canal a la navegación entre Marcilly-sur-Seine y Barberey-Saint-Sulpice, y acondicionar senderos y vías verdes a lo largo del canal .
