Great Cressingham es una aldea que se encuentra a unas 5 millas de Watton, 6 millas al sur de Swaffham y a solo 1.5 millas de la carretera arterial A1065 justo al norte de Hilborough. Se encuentra a 2.5 millas al noroeste por carretera de Little Cressingham. En 2007 tenía una población estimada de 235, en un área de 9.84 km2, incluyendo Little Cressingham, aumentando a 421 en el Censo de 2011.
La escuela del pueblo fue construida en 1840. Se utilizó como escuela de la Autoridad local hasta 1992 y luego fue adquirida por Tom y Sally North. La han restaurado lo más cerca posible de cómo habría sido en la época victoriana y ahora organizan días escolares históricos gratuitos.
