Si piensas que el Puente Pulteney te resulta familiar, no es una coincidencia. El arquitecto del puente, Robert Adam, había visitado tanto Florencia como Venecia, donde habría visto el Ponte Vecchio y el Puente de Rialto. Pero el diseño de Adam seguía más de cerca el diseño rechazado de Andrea Palladio para el Rialto.
