Desastres de Ibrox hace referencia a los dos accidentes, en 1902 y 1971, que llevaron a la pérdida de vidas humanas en el Ibrox Stadium en Glasgow, Escocia.
El 5 de abril de 1902, durante un partido entre Escocia e Inglaterra por el Campeonato del Interior británico, la parte trasera de la nueva construcción, la Tribuna Oeste
55.85339, -4.31054, se derrumbó debido a las fuertes lluvias de la noche anterior. Cientos de seguidores cayeron desde 40 pies hasta el suelo, 25 personas murieron y 517 resultaron heridas.[1]
El soporte en el momento consistía en terrazas de madera sostenidas por un marco de vigas de acero. A raíz del accidente, tales marcos fueron desacreditados y sustituidos en todo el Reino Unido por terrazas con el apoyo de movimientos de tierra o de hormigón armado.
