El Motín de Santa Escolástica, que sucedió el 10 de febrero de 1355, es uno de los acontecimientos más notorios de la historia de Oxford, Inglaterra.
El origen de la revuelta fue un altercado en la Taberna Swindlestock entre dos estudiantes de la Universidad de Oxford, Walter Spryngeheuse y Roger de Chesterfield, y el tabernero, John Croidon. Quejándose
de la calidad de las bebidas, se llegó a un intercambio de palabras groseras que terminaron con la agresión al tabernero por parte de los estudiantes. Las represalias por este incidente dieron lugar a enfrentamientos armados entre los lugareños y los estudiantes.
