Descubrí este lugar hace más de 20 años cuando era estudiante creando un mapa de suelos de la Bahía de Navarino. Esa bahía es el lugar donde se encendió el fuego de la Independencia Griega. También está cargada de mitología griega: Telémaco llegó a la orilla aquí en esta bahía cuando iba a buscar consejo de Néstor de Pilos. Y la cueva a unas pocas docenas de metros de la bahía, era la cueva donde Apolo escondió sus toros. La naturaleza copió el vientre del toro creando esta bahía. El nombre "Voido-Kilia" significa literalmente "vientre de toro".
