La diócesis de Ariano Irpino-Lacedonia es una sede de la Iglesia católica sufragánea de la arquidiócesis de Benevento, perteneciente a la región eclesiástica Campania. En 2012 contaba 74.000 bautizados sobre unos 74.750 habitantes. El obispo actual es Sergio Melillo.[1]
La diócesis comprende 24 comunes , de los cuales 20 están en la provincia de Avellino, 3 en la provincia de Benevento y 1 en provincia de Foggia. Más de a las ciudades de Ariano Irpino y Lacedonia, la diócesis comprende los comunes de: Anzano di Puglia , Bonito, Carife, Casalbore, Castel Baronia, Castelfranco in Miscano , Flumeri, Ginestra degli Schiavoni , Griegos, Grottaminarda, Melito Irpino, Montaguto, Montefalcone di Val Fortore , San Nicola Baronia, San Sossio Baronia, Savignano Irpino, Scampitella, Trevico, Vallata, Vallesaccarda, Villanova del Battista y Zungoli.
