La diócesis de Isernia-Venafro es una sede de la Iglesia católica sufragánea de la arquidiócesis de Campobasso-Boiano, perteneciente a la región eclesiástica Abruzzo-Molise. En 2013, contaba con 62.000 bautizados, sobre una población de 63.000 habitantes. Actualmente está gobernada por el obispo Camillo Cibotti.[1]
La sede episcopal es la ciudad de Isernia, donde se encuentra la catedral de San Pedro Apóstol. En Venafro se levanta la Concatedral de Santa María Asunta. El territorio se divide en 48 parroquias,, agrupadas en seis vicariatos: Isernia, Venafro, Capriati a Volturno, Carpinone, Cerro al Volturno y Pozzilli.[1]
