Veessen es una aldea en la provincia holandesa de Gelderland. Se encuentra en el municipio de Heerde. Se mencionó por primera vez en 1217 como Vesce. La etimología no está clara. Veessen es un esdorp cerca del río IJssel. Posteriormente, se desarrolló en un asentamiento lineal sobre la dársena. La iglesia reformada holandesa fue construida en 1843 como reemplazo de una iglesia medieval. El Mölle van Bats es un molino de grano construido en 1779. Un molino de vapor impulsado por una máquina de vapor se construyó junto al molino de viento en 1888. En 1840, Veessen tenía 775 habitantes.
