Haler es el núcleo más joven del municipio neerlandés-limburgués de Leudal. Haler es una fusión de las antiguas aldeas de Haler y Uffelse. Un nombre anterior también era Haerlo. Haler pertenecía desde antiguo al municipio de Hunsel, que cuenta con cinco núcleos. En 2007, el municipio de Hunsel se fusionó con otros municipios para formar Leudal. El 1 de enero de 2021, Haler contaba con 485 habitantes.
