Veenklooster es un pequeño pueblo en el municipio de Noardeast-Fryslân en la provincia de Frisia, Países Bajos, con una población de alrededor de 97 en enero de 2017. Antes de 2019, el pueblo era parte del municipio de Kollumerland en Nieuwkruisland. El pueblo se mencionó por primera vez en 1446 como "da conuent to Faen", y significa monasterio en la tierra de turba. Veenklooster comenzó como un asentamiento de excavación de turba en los siglos XI o XII y se desarrolló a lo largo de la intersección de la carretera de Kollum a Kollumerzwaag y Twijzel.
