Fortmond es una aldea en la provincia holandesa de Overijssel. Se encuentra en el medio del área de desarrollo natural de Duursche Waarden, en una curva del IJssel entre Deventer y Zwolle. En un nivel de agua muy alto del río, Fortmond, que se encuentra fuera de la dike de invierno en la llanura de inundación, es inaccesible por carretera. En tal caso, el municipio proporciona una conexión en barco.
