La actual iglesia de St. Gummarus de 1902 reemplaza una iglesia del principio del siglo XIX, que se había vuelto demasiado pequeña. La iglesia pertenece a las obras posteriores más importantes del repertorio del Dr. P.J.H. Cuypers, aunque el diseño fue modificado y ejecutado por su hijo Jos y Jan Stuyt. Gravemente dañada por acciones bélicas en 1944, restaurada en 1949, torre reconstruida en 1960. Gran restauración con la llamada subvención "kanjersubsidie", años 2000.
