El río Dão es un río portugués que se origina en las regiones de meseta de Trancoso-Aguiar da Beira en la parroquia de Eirado, municipio de Aguiar da Beira, en el distrito de Guarda, y varía entre 714 y 757 metros de elevación.
Fluye en dirección noreste-suroeste, pasando por la Barragem de Fagilde y cruza o delimita los límites de los municipios de Aguiar da Beira, Penalva do Castelo, Mangualde, Viseu, Carregal do Sal, Nelas, Tondela y Santa Comba Dão. Desemboca en el río Mondego, en los límites de los municipios de Santa Comba Dão, Mortágua y Penacova, después de recorrer unos 100 kilómetros.
