Barcelos es una ciudad portuguesa del distrito de Braga, en la Región estadística del Norte y comunidad intermunicipal del Cávado , con unos 60 000 habitantes en su núcleo principal.Es la capital de un municipio de 378,70 km² de extensión y una población de 124 555 habitantes , subdividido en 61 parroquias lo que le hace el municipio con mayor número de parroquias de todo el país.
