La isla de Flores es una isla del archipiélago de las Azores, Portugal. Es el punto más occidental de Europa y tiene una superficie de 142 km² y una población de 4.300 habitantes.
La isla aparece cubierta de miles de hortensias en verano, aunque esto no es el origen de su nombre. La isla se encontraba profusamente poblada por una especie de origen norteamericano llamada Solidago sempervirens, de la familia de las asteraceas cuyas semillas llegaron arrastradas por el viento y encontraron en la isla un hábitat ideal. Sus flores de color amarillo cubrían extensas superficies, de ahí que la isla fuera bautizada Flores.
