La Capela do Pretório de Pilatos (Capilla del Pretorio de Pilato) es la octava capilla de la Vía Sacra de Bom Jesus do Monte.
Esto representa el momento en que Poncio Pilato presenta a Jesús ante la multitud y lo condena a muerte . Tras su arresto, Jesús fue llevado ante Pilato, gobernador romano de Judea. Pilato no pudo encontrar ninguna falta en Jesús, pero la multitud exigió su crucifixión.
En la capilla vemos a Jesús , escarnecido y azotado, con la corona de espinas y un manto púrpura. Poncio Pilato le muestra a la multitud una plataforma elevada mientras soldados romanos custodian a Jesús. Una multitud enfurecida grita: "¡Crucifícalo!". Pilato se lava las manos como símbolo de que no asume ninguna responsabilidad.
Esta escena muestra la injusticia de la condena de Jesús y cómo Él aceptó en silencio su destino .
