Un rabelo es un barco de carga sin quilla, especialmente diseñado para transportar barriles de oporto a través del salvaje Duero hasta las bodegas de Oporto.
Hoy en día, los barcos-rabelos han sido reemplazados por el transporte por carretera, pero aún es posible hacer un recorrido en barco por Pinhão en uno de estos barcos. Se sale de Pinhão, se navega bajo el puente Eiffel de hierro río arriba hasta la zona de Roncão, donde se da la vuelta y se regresa a Pinhão. En el camino se ven colinas con viñedos en terrazas hasta el río, sin carreteras nacionales ni tráfico a la vista.
