Photharam es una ciudad y distrito en la parte norte de la provincia de Ratchaburi, en el oeste de Tailandia. Photharam fue un 'khwaeng' de Mueang Ratchaburi en el siglo XIX. En 1836 d.C., la oficina del distrito fue reubicada de la desembocadura del canal Bang Tanot a la orilla este del río Mae Klong, frente al Wat Chaloem At. El 10 de marzo de 1952 d.C., se trasladó a su ubicación actual.
