Pfunds se situe dans l'Oberes Gericht, la dernière partie de la vallée de l'Inn tyrolienne, près de la frontière suisse. Au pont de Kajetans, les routes se dirigent vers Spiss puis vers Samnaun ainsi que vers Nauders et le col de Reschen. La commune est composée des villages de Stuben, Pfunds-Dorf et des hameaux de Wandt, Vorderkobel, Hinterkobel, Birkach, Lafairs, Stein et Greit. Les parties du village sont reliées entre elles par un pont en bois construit en 1950 dans le style du 19e siècle.
