L'abbaye de Heiligenkreuz est une abbaye cistercienne dans la commune de Heiligenkreuz à laquelle elle a donné son nom, à 25 km au sud-ouest de Vienne. Fondée en 1133, l'office divin et la vie monastique n'y furent jamais interrompus, ce qui fait d'elle la deuxième communauté cistercienne vivante au monde, après celle de Rein, également en Autriche. L'abbaye, qui conserve la tradition du chant grégorien, reçut la visite du pape Benoît XVI, le 9 septembre 2007, lors de son voyage en Autriche.
