Dans le musée Vleeshuismuseum sur la Grand-Place, vous découvrirez tout sur l'histoire ancienne de Dendermonde. Des découvertes archéologiques, des documents anciens, une collection d'armes blanches et à feu, des éléments des anciennes processions de Ros Beiaard, ... vous y trouverez tout. L'attraction principale reste encore le squelette d'un mammouth, qui, avec ses 28 000 ans, est le plus ancien habitant de la ville !
