Cette maison de campagne (non accessible) a été construite en 1850 dans le style néoclassique tardif comme pavillon de chasse pour le riche distillateur de genièvre hasseltois Paul Jacobs-Stellingwerff. Elle se trouve au point le plus bas de Lummen. D'où le nom "Lagendal". Pendant longtemps, un restaurant étoilé y était établi sous le nom de 'Kasteel Saint Paul'. En 2005, la famille de Chaumenton a vendu le château à la famille Verbeeck de Tessenderlo. Cette famille habite maintenant le château. Autour du château se trouve un grand parc d'environ 9 ha avec un jardin assez sobre et un étang rond remarquable. Le parc est entièrement entouré d'un fossé et d'une enceinte. Une particularité est l'allée de charmes qui se trouve dans le parc.
