Route pavée étroite, égayée çà et là de bandes d’asphalte depuis 1990. Cette piste a été incluse 38 fois dans le Tour: 1956; 1974-1997; 1999-2002; 2004-2007;2009-2013. N’a pas toujours été gravi jusqu’au sommet (piste Audenarde-Renaix). Parfois, ils tournaient à droite avant le sommet (Kokerelle).
