La ligne 156 du RAVeL correspond à l'ancienne voie de chemin de fer 156 reliant Anor en France à Hastière en passant par Chimay et Mariembourg. Le tronçon Hermeton-sur-Meuse - Mariembourg a été démantelé en 1978. Un sentier cycliste et pédestre RAVeL a été aménagé en asphalte sur le tracé.
