L’Herald of Free Enterprise est un ferry de la compagnie britannique Townsend Thoresen qui assurait la liaison transmanche entre Zeebruges et Douvres. Il chavira le 6 mars 1987 au large du port de Zeebruges, en Belgique, faisant 193 morts et devenant l'accident maritime le plus meurtrier de l'histoire du Royaume ainsi que l'une de ses principales catastrophes en temps de paix.
