Aux abords du hameau de Saint-Yvon, la balade fait une étape autour d' une croix marquant l'emplacement d'une trêve entre soldats britanniques et allemands, au cours de Noël 1914. En 1999 ce sont les Khaki Chums, une association pour le souvenir militaire composée de 9 Anglais qui sont parvenus à déterminer l'emplacement de cette trêve sur base de documents et d'un plan réalisé par Bruce Bairnsfather, un lieutenant britannique et illustrateur qui fut en effet un des témoins de cet épisode de paix au coeur de la guerre
