Ces anciens bâtiments de ferme sont parfaitement restaurés et entretenus. Heureusement, on n'a pas tenté de créer un château avec des petites tourelles. C'est maintenant une belle habitation. La ferme d'origine a une longue histoire. Le nom actuel de Verbrande Hoeve se retrouve d'ailleurs sur l'ancienne carte de FERRARIS, avec la même dénomination en français. Sur la carte de Ferraris, une cour/ferme n'était pas désignée par 'Ferme', mais par l'abréviation Cse de l'appellation courante d'autrefois 'Cense'. Ces cartes ont été utilisées par Napoléon à des fins moins pacifiques.
