Le château médiéval de Spontin a été construit en pierre calcaire de la région de la Meuse et il est donc en place depuis un certain temps. Son donjon date déjà du XIIe siècle. Le château est considéré comme l'un des plus beaux châteaux d'eau de Wallonie.
