Geeste est une commune située sur l'Ems dans la partie centrale ouest du district d'Emsland dans le Niedersachsen occidental.
Geeste se trouve dans l'Emsland entre Meppen au nord et Lingen au sud. Immédiatement au sud-est de la commune se trouve le bassin de rétention de Geeste et un peu plus loin dans cette direction se trouve la Lingener Höhe.
