Heilbad Heiligenstadt est une ville et une station thermale allemande, chef-lieu de l'arrondissement d'Eichsfeld, dans le Land de Thuringe.
Heilbad Heiligenstadt est située à l'ouest de l'arrondissement du même nom, dans le Haut-Eichsfeld, à 14 km à vol d'oiseau de l'ancienne frontière entre la RFA et la RDA et de la limite Thuringe-Basse-Saxe-Hesse, tripoint géographique.
