La gare de Visselhövede est située sur la ligne de chemin de fer Uelzen–Langwedel en Basse-Saxe. Elle est desservie par des trains régionaux circulant toutes les deux heures. En ce qui concerne le transport de marchandises, la gare est desservie de manière régulière par DB Cargo en provenance de Brême.
La gare de Visselhövede se trouve à environ 1,5 kilomètre au sud-ouest du centre-ville, le long de la route nationale 171 en direction de Verden, dans une orientation est-ouest. En raison de sa situation à la périphérie du village, la gare ainsi que l'ensemble de la ligne sont plutôt peu fréquentées.
