Le Kocher ) est un affluent droit du Neckar de 169 km de long dans la partie nord-est du Bade-Wurtemberg, en Allemagne. Le nom « Kocher » provient de son nom celtique « cochan » et signifie probablement rivière sinueuse et sinueuse. Sa superficie totale est de 1 960 km2. Le Kocher prend sa source dans les contreforts orientaux du Jura souabe à partir de deux sources karstiques, le Schwarzer Kocher et le Weißer Kocher, qui se rejoignent à Unterkochen près d’Aalen. Le Schwarzer Kocher fait environ 8 km de long. Son débit source varie entre 50 L/s et 4 000 L/s avec une moyenne de 680 L/s. Le Weißer Kocher, long de 3,3 km, a un débit moyen de 400 L/s.
