La tour Hermann est une structure en béton armé de 21 m de haut érigée en tant que tour de guet sur le Dönenberg à Georgsmarienhütte. La plateforme d'observation, à une altitude de 352 mètres au-dessus du niveau de la mer, offre une vue au sud-est sur la forêt de Teutobourg, au sud sur Bad Iburg et sur Münster, et au nord sur les montagnes de Wiehen. La tour de guet a été construite en 1975 par le nom de l'époque, Möller, de la ville de Georgsmarienhütte. La nouvelle tour a remplacé l'« Hermann en fer » de 12 mètres de haut construit au même endroit en 1898. La tour Hermann est nommée d'après le chef militaire germain Arminius (Hermann), qui a conduit ses troupes à la victoire contre le général romain Publius Varus Quinctilius lors de la bataille de la forêt de Teutobourg en l'an 9 après J.-C. Au nord-ouest, le Lammersbrink se dresse devant la Hermannsturm avec la tour Varus identique. Les deux tours sont reliées par un chemin piéton, relié à la route de montagne.
