Le château de Dillenbourg ou Dillenburg, dans la ville provinciale de Dillenburg en Hesse-Nassau, est situé sur une colline à une latitude d'environ 300 mètres au-dessus de la rivière Dill, à 40 km au nord-ouest de Gießen.
Le bâtiment principal de l'ancien château a été déconstruit en 1760 après avoir subi des tirs de canons pendant la guerre de Sept Ans. Aujourd'hui, la colline au-dessus de la ville possède encore les ruines des fortifications du XVIIe siècle de l'ancien schloss Dillenburg, mais il ne reste presque rien des fortifications d'origine, qui étaient pour la plupart en bois.
