La Drepte est un affluent de 37,6 km de long, situé à l'est et à droite de la Weser inférieure, dans les districts de Basse-Saxe d'Osterholz et de Cuxhaven.
La Drepte prend sa source dans la Langen Heide, qui est la zone d'origine de nombreux ruisseaux de Geest dans le système fluvial de la Weser. Sa source, située dans le district d'Osterholz, se trouve dans la forêt d'Elm, entre Westerbeck au sud-est et Lange Heide à l'ouest, deux quartiers d'Osterholz-Scharmbeck.
