Le vaste château de Ringsheim se trouve aujourd'hui éloigné de toute habitation villageoise : De l'ancien village de Ringsheim, disparu au XVIIe siècle, seule la ruine de l'église reste dans le parc du château.
Au Moyen Âge, le château était divisé en trois parties. La maison seigneuriale se trouvait sur une haute île fortifiée - deux faubourgs étaient situés devant elle. La taille inhabituelle témoignait du pouvoir et de la richesse de ses propriétaires.
Au XVIIe siècle, la propriété alors en ruines a été transformée en château baroque. À la fin du XIXe siècle, elle est devenue un domaine de style anglais.
