En 2017, un projet de 2,4 millions d’euros a été mis en œuvre pour réaménager 210 mètres du Waldangelbach à travers le centre-ville de Mühlhausen.
À la mi-2019, le lit de Waldangelbach entre l’ancienne usine Wellpappe à Wiesloch et l’endroit où le ruisseau se jette dans Leimbach a commencé à être réaménagé. Dans le cadre des travaux de construction, le pont ferroviaire portant l’ancienne voie ferrée locale entre la gare de Wiesloch-Walldorf et le centre-ville de Wiesloch devait être démonté et déplacé au Wiesloch Feldbahn and Industrial Museum. Le pont est arrivé au musée le 8 octobre 2019.
