Längenloch est une réserve naturelle désignée par un arrêté du Regierungspräsidium Tübingen du 24 novembre 1980 avec le numéro 4.083.
La réserve naturelle se situe dans l'espace naturel de Hohe Schwabenalb et se trouve à environ 800 mètres à l'ouest d'Onstmettingen, à proximité immédiate de la réserve naturelle Geifitze. Elle est entièrement entourée par la zone de protection du paysage n° 4.17.001 Albstadt-Bitz. Le site fait partie à la fois de la zone FFH n° 7719-341 autour d'Albstadt et de la zone de protection des oiseaux n° 7820-441 Sud-Ouest de l'Alb et Haute Vallée du Danube.
