Le premier palais de Christiansborg à Copenhague, au Danemark, a été construit sur Slotsholmen en 1745 comme nouvelle résidence principale du roi Christian VI du Danemark. Il a été érigé sur le même site que son prédécesseur, le château de Copenhague, qui avait pris une apparence monstrueuse et avait commencé à s'effondrer sous son propre poids après plusieurs extensions.
