Valencia de Alcántara est une commune d’Espagne, dans la province de Cáceres, communauté autonome d'Estrémadure. Elle est située aux confins de l'Espagne et du Portugal sur la route qui mène de Madrid à Lisbonne. La ville fortifiée fait face à celle de Marvão place forte médiévale de l'Alentejo, du district de Portalegre au Portugal.
