La bataille d'Araviana fut une action de la cavalerie pendant la Guerre des Deux Pères le 22 septembre 1359.
Les Castillans ont commencé les hostilités en prenant les châteaux de Jumilla et Ferrellón, et le 29 mai, l'infant Frédéric Alphonse de Castille, maître de l'ordre de Saint-Jacques, est assassiné à Séville, et le 12 juin à Bilbao, l'infant Jean Alphonse de Castille. Henri de Trastámara, apprenant la mort de ses frères, entreprit une opération de punition à Soria en franchissant la frontière de Castille, détruit et pille à Seron, et met le siège au château d'Alcázar ; malgré de forts combats, il n'arrive pas à s'emparer de la forteresse. Après la furieuse chevauchée, le comte se retire dans le camp aragonais. Peu après, le comte de Luna, Henri de Trastámara et Tello de Castille, attaquent Molina de Aragón en prenant les châteaux de Mesa et Villel, amenant les troupes castillanes à se rassembler à Almazán en attendant Pedro le Cruel, qui vient du Royaume de Murcie avec trois mille chevaliers.
