L’île de la Cité est une île située sur la Seine, en plein cœur de Paris. Elle est considérée comme l'antique berceau de la ville de Paris, autrefois Lutèce. Elle appartient aux 1er et 4e arrondissements. Le chroniqueur Gui de Bazoches l'évoquait en 1190 comme étant « la tête, le cœur et la moelle de Paris ».
